Access initiative

100 sponsored places to begin.

Project 100 helps people take a first step who might not otherwise get one. It is an access initiative for Foundation-level learning; scholarship applications are not open.

Project 100 is not the Academy. It is one route into it.

What it is

An access and sponsorship initiative.

Project 100 is an access initiative designed to create 100 sponsored places into the Foundation-level programmes.

What it is not

It is not the Academy.

The Academy is the learning home: programmes, faculties, spaces and community. Project 100 is one door into it, and there will be others.

Why access matters

Talent is everywhere. Opportunity is not.

Training, tools and networks are not equally within reach for everyone. Access initiatives exist to widen who is able to take part.

Cost can be a barrier

For some people, the cost of beginning is what gets in the way. A sponsored place is intended to remove that barrier.

Starting can be the hard part

Support at the beginning is intended to make the first step feel possible.

Who starts shapes what gets built

If only some people are in the room, only some problems get solved.

Where it leads

A sponsored place into the Foundation.

Foundation-level programmes offer practical starting points. From there, the same path is open to you as to anyone else.

What we cannot tell you yet

Selection rules, dates, countries, funding terms and sponsors are not decided. We are not going to invent them. Scholarship applications are not open.

Part of something wider

Project 100 belongs to the movement, not only to the Academy.

It carries the same idea: leave no nurse behind, leave no midwife behind, leave no woman in healthcare behind, leave no one behind.
