A movement, 2026–2030

Leave no one behind.

The Academy is part of something bigger than itself. The movement is about who gets access to the future of healthcare work, and who is quietly left out of it.

What we are saying

  • Leave no nurse behind
  • Leave no midwife behind
  • Leave no woman in healthcare behind
  • Leave no one behind

2026–2030

Why say it four times?

Because each line names someone who is usually assumed to be included and often is not. Nurses. Midwives. Women across healthcare. Then everyone else the system tends to overlook.

Naming people is not decoration. It is the difference between being invited and being expected to invite yourself.

How the pieces fit

A movement is not a course. Each part does its own job.

They support each other, but they are not interchangeable, and we try not to blur them.

The movement

Brings people together and keeps attention on the question of who gets left out.

The community

Where belonging lives. People who know the work, alongside each other.

The Academy

Where skills and confidence are built, through real programmes and real projects.

The programmes

The structured steps: the Foundation, then the Apprenticeship levels.

Future

The Capability & Opportunity Check

A separate future guided check, intended to help you understand where you are, where you want to go, what you already bring and what may be getting in the way.

Five years

2026–2030, because this takes time.

Changing who has access to skills, tools and opportunity is slow work. We have set a horizon long enough to be honest about that.

A TechNurses Africa initiative

The movement is led by TechNurses Africa. No endorsement of, or affiliation with, any external body is implied unless it has been formally confirmed. If that changes, we will name who and describe the relationship plainly.
